Clare is the founder and clinical director of Lunara Physiotherapy (previously Clare Hynds Physiotherapy) situated in the heart of killarney, Co. Kerry.


She graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2010 and since then has worked in the private practice sector. She graduated with a master’s degree from Queen Mary University London in Sport And exercise Medicine in 2013. This is where Clare honed her skills in Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy and began her journey in Women’s and Pelvic Health. Clare feels that Pelvic Health requires an advanced comprehension of anatomy, a deep understanding of pain science and vast knowledge around the specifics of rehabilitation and combining the skill set and concepts of MSK and pelvic health together are what sets Clare aside in her field.

Clare is almost finished her first year in her master’s degree in advanced clinical practice of Pelvic Health, from Brunel University London. Clare enjoys studying! Clare’s area of clinical special interest includes spinal & pelvic care, Ante and Postnatal musculoskeletal dysfunction and rehabilitation, pelvic pain, urinary and faecal incontinence issues and prolapse. Clare was trained as a Pilates instructor from Stott Pilates in 2012 and has spent many years teaching and rehabilitating her patients through its science.

 

Clare has lectured part time to undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students at the University of Limerick for the last ten yeaRs and loves this side of her job. Clare is a passionate physiotherapist. She loves people and helping them improve their well-being.


She loves learning and teaching. And she loves being a mum to her two young girls, Isla     & Eden
